Registration
Check-in counters
Sectors A, B and C
You can check in for your flight at Sochi Airport at special check-in counters in sectors A, B and C. The check-in procedure begins no earlier than 3 hours before departure and ends no later than 40 minutes before departure. There are also check-in counters for passengers without luggage in the airport terminal in sectors A and B, which operate without being linked to airlines.
Online check-in
Online check-in can be completed on the airline's website or in the airline's mobile app, which usually starts 24 hours in advance and ends 40 minutes before departure. After completing the online check-in, if you are flying with hand luggage only, it is enough for you to show the boarding pass on the smartphone screen during passport control along with the original document used to purchase the ticket, as well as to present it when boarding the aircraft. However, if you need accounting documents, you can print the boarding pass at the Reprint terminals (using a barcode from mobile devices). Such terminals are located in the airport terminal in sectors A, B and C
You can find the necessary check-in counters on the scoreboard at the airport terminal or on online scoreboard
Please note that for most airlines, a single queue is formed to check in for several flights.
Baggage handling
If you are traveling with luggage, we recommend that you arrive at the airport in advance to check your luggage. Baggage handling for flights is carried out on the basis of an identity document and ends no later than 40 minutes before departure time.
The process includes:
Weighing of all baggage
Verification of compliance with the rules of transportation
Issue of numbered tags for luggage and hand luggage
The numbered baggage tag is used to identify each piece of checked baggage.
Important
Information about your baggage (number of seats, weight) will be indicated on the baggage receipt, which is part of the ticket.
If your baggage requires special transportation conditions, notify the agent at the check-in desk to mark it with a special sticker.
After baggage is deposited, the carrier is responsible for its safety.
The carriage of baggage in excess of the norm specified in the ticket is paid at the rate set by the carrier. Payment for the carriage of such baggage is made out with a receipt for payment of excess baggage or an order for various fees. Payment can be made in advance on the airline's website, as well as directly at the airport – at ticket offices or at check-in desks.
Please arrive at the airport in advance in order to make payment for excess baggage.
If necessary, you can find out information about baggage and hand luggage allowances by contacting the carrier airline (by Hotline phone or on the website), or by using the free Telegram bot: @AirLineInfo_bot
Pre-flight inspection

1
Pass (drive) into the transport security zone in accordance with the inspection rules  to ensure transport security, including a list of necessary documents
2
Comply with the requirements of transport security officers aimed at ensuring transport security, and not take actions that prevent them from performing their official duties
All passengers and their hand luggage are inspected during pre-flight inspection
Items prohibited for carriage are confiscated
If a passenger of an aircraft refuses pre-flight inspection, the contract of air carriage of the passenger is considered terminated in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 85 of the Air Code of the Russian Federation.
During inspection:
Remove outer clothing, watches, belts, metal jewelry
Take metal items and electronic devices out of your pockets
Place all items in a special container and put it on the X-ray machine belt
Remember: you cannot take piercing and cutting objects, containers with liquid volume of more than 100 ml in hand luggage. Also, based on the internal technology of Sochi International Airport JSC, it is prohibited to take alcohol in any quantities, as well as mercury thermometers in hand luggage
We draw your attention
Inspection technologies are developed and approved by the airport administration, aviation enterprise, operator, conducting the inspection in relation to the airport conditions, agreed with the territorial body of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Transport, according to paragraph 11 of the Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation of July 25, 2007 No. 104, Moscow
In the controlled zone of the airport, the use of movie cameras, photo and video equipment without the permission of the airport administration is not allowed  Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation of November 28, 2005 No. 142.
Stationary metal detectors installed at Sochi Airport are magnetic frames with sensors, coils (windings) on the sides and top. The coils serve as sources of electromagnetic signals that form a magnetic field when voltage is applied to them. In the space of the arch, the device creates an electromagnetic field that reacts to metal objects passing through it with inductive eddy currents. The received data is processed, as a result of which an idea of the material and size of the object, its shape and configuration can be obtained
The level of the electromagnetic field of the metal detector is much lower and safer than that of a cell phone. The magnetic metal detector is a low-frequency device. The range of its operating frequencies does not affect the human body, unlike frames operating on radio wave radiation. Conducted studies also did not reveal an adverse effect of metal detectors on medical devices (including those implanted in the human body), magnetic media, or the course of pregnancy. Manufacturers of medical equipment indicate in patient memos the possibility of inspection by metal detectors. People with installed cardio and neuro stimulators have the right to refuse to pass through the metal detector. Their inspection in this case is carried out separately

A necessary condition is the presence of a boarding pass confirming departure from the airport where duty-free goods were purchased, the absence of signs of opening the bag in which the purchases are located, and the presence of a cash receipt
